Back in 2009, Beyonce declared that she is the "number one diva" in her smash hit "Diva." Now, after taking a look at her list of tour demands, the international superstar has not failed to live up to her self-proclaimed title four years later.
As reported by the U.K.'s Daily Star, the 31-year-old wife of rap mogul Jay-Z and mother of Blue Ivy Carter, has a pretty strict list of demands for her worldwide "Mrs. Carter Show" tour. These demands include hand-carved ice balls made with imported water from Switzerland and around $935 worth of titanium drinking straws, which she uses to drink special alkaline water served at exactly 21 degrees. An insider also claims that the songstress insists that her crew wear only 100 percent pure cotton clothes and puts in a request for her dressing room to have a fresh coat of white paint, a new toilet seat, and red toilet paper.
Because junk food is strictly forbidden, her snacks must include glass platters of almonds and oatcakes, and there's a green-only policy when it comes to salad bar nibbles.
"She's extremely regimented and is taking everything extremely seriously, so she expects her list of demands to be adhered to," a source told the Daily Star.
"Working so hard and with the toll the travel takes on her body in addition to the intense shows, she feels that her requests aren't too much to ask for as she wants to ensure everything goes to plan."
Although Beyonce's list of demands have not been confirmed by her camp, a representative for the U.K.'s O2 arena told E! News that the diva isn't only using the venue's luxury dressing rooms, but she is also using a space typically used to accomodate entire sports teams.
"They are much bigger though, and she was given free rein to refurbish them to her own taste," a source told the London Evening Standard regarding the larger rooms. "They're also in a quieter part of the backstage area, which gives her a better atmosphere to get focused for her shows."
